Seyyed Hossein Fatemi, also known as Dr. Fatemi (February 10, 1918, in Naein – November 10, 1954, in Tehran), was an Iranian politician and journalist. He served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran from 1952 to 1953. Following the coup d'état of August 28, 1953, he was tried and sentenced to death.

Seyyed Hossein Fatemi was instrumental in advocating for the "Republic" concept during that period. According to Mohammad Mossadegh, the idea of nationalizing the oil industry was proposed by Fatemi, who also suggested the formation of the National Front.

Fatemi, along with Dr. Ali Shayegan, was considered one of the prominent figures of the left-wing faction within Mossadegh’s government. He survived two assassination attempts within a span of three years: the first by Mohammad Mehdi Abdokhodai in 1951 and the second by Shaban Jafari in 1953.

During his tenure as Minister, he also received the highest national honor known as the "Homayoun Order" from the Shah.
