The meeting of two of the then deputy ministers of the Ministry of Information with Akbar Hashemi and the announcement that the judicial organization of the armed forces has arrested 5 senior and middle managers of the #Ministry of Information, contrary to the promise they had previously given to the Minister of Information Younis.

They were upset that the military court had arrested five other intelligence officers in connection with the [serial] murders. Yesterday, Mr. [Gholamohsin] Mohseni Ajeei, [Chairman of the Special Clergy Court] expressed his displeasure with this action.

They consulted about their duties regarding the [Sixth Parliament] elections and said that probably the right spectrum is upset by some of the leadership's statements in the Friday prayer, which dealt with the militant clerical community and Mr. [Abul Qasim] Khazali and Mr. [Mohammed Taqi] Misbah [Yazdi], and their support is weak. it will include Mr. [Mohammed Reza] Mahdavikani and the community of teachers [Qom Theological Seminary] and....
The Mobarez clergy community issued a statement today and while thanking some of the content of the leadership in the Friday prayer, it did not mention the issue related to itself, which is the attack on Mr. [Syed Mohammad] Khatami, [President], and probably the foreign and domestic media carried it. They will fight and lead the clergy against the differences [of society].
