UN Secretary -General Antonio Guterres expressed concern about Israeli attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities, urging both countries to show maximum restraint.

According to a spokesman for Mr Guterres: The Secretary -General condemns any military intensification in the Middle East.

He added: "The secretary general, in particular, is concerned with Israeli attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities while negotiations between Iran and the United States on the status of Iran's nuclear program are under way."
