It is written in several parts of the 1999 memoirs of the late Hashemi Rafsanjani entitled "Presence and withdrawal" that I have requested some friends to be released from prison, and that action should be taken through the mediation of the deceased.
It is necessary to emphasize that during the 3 years of imprisonment, I have never asked "anyone" to solve the problem, reduce the prison term, or release me from prison, even to the extent that I even asked my dear brother, the late Alireza, for his compassionate follow-up and sometimes during the meetings. It stated that I forbade it.
Friends may have taken actions or follow-ups in their area that had nothing to do with me.
