Unfortunately, tonight news arrived that two Revolutionary Guard commanders, Messrs. Baqeri and Baqaei, had been martyred by enemy fire while on patrol.
At night, Dr. Velayati consulted me about the visit of the human rights representatives who had expressed the view that human rights were being violated in Iran. I agreed and said that the rumors abroad were very widespread, and seeing things firsthand would moderate their views.
Late at night, Mr. Motahhari's family came and consulted me about publishing his notes on economics. The conservatives and supporters of capitalism had frightened them. However, Mr. Ghaffari, who is responsible for collecting his writings, insists on publishing them. It was decided that I would study them and give my opinion.
