Friday Prayer in Tehran Led by Hashemi

Meeting with Sheikh Mohammad Motahari, who has been studying in Canada.

Delivery of two sermons regarding arrogance and emphasis on poverty alleviation, construction, and maintaining the tranquility of people's investments.

At twelve o'clock, I went to Tehran University to lead the Friday prayer. I delivered a sermon on arrogance and another addressing current issues, emphasizing poverty alleviation, construction, and maintaining the tranquility of people's investments, in line with the leadership's declared policies, and criticizing the United States for threatening the Palestinians. Mohsen and his children, along with Kazem [Marashi, my brother-in-law], accompanied me.

In the evening, Mr. Mohammad Motahari [son of the martyr Morteza Motahari] visited me. He is studying in Canada and came for a visit. I asked many questions about his studies and way of life. We also discussed the new conditions in Iran. I continued my studies until nightfall, reviewing bulletins regarding the potential reunification of the two Koreas, the "New Energy Park" plan, and examining a book written by Mr. Shojaoddin Ebrahimi, [a poet from Khorasan] in response to the smear campaigns against me.

In Kashmir, the Indian government has entered negotiations with the Mujahideen Movement, and the United Nations has reported on the damages caused by drought in Iran and its implications.
