Sheikh Sadegh Rahimi, head of the Disciplinary Court for Judges and the Sharia judge for appeals at the Supreme Audit Court, after the opinions of two judges of the appeals court, Razaghandi and Olfatpour, who is also an assistant to the head of the Judiciary, rejected the request for a retrial and declared the conviction of Commander Abdolali Ali-Asgari and Mohammad Shariatmadari, the former and current CEOs of the Persian Gulf Holding, for “one year of temporary suspension from government service” to be final and enforceable.
Now it remains to be seen what the next step will be in implementing this ruling within government agencies?
