According to this NOTAM with code A1010/26, all airports in the western part of the Tehran FIR are closed, and only a few specified airports are allowed limited operations, and even then only from sunrise to sunset.
According to this notice, the airports of:
“Tabriz, Kermanshah, Ahvaz, Shiraz, Yazd, Kerman, Kish, and Abadan”
are operating with limited capacity, but all previous flight permissions have been canceled, and airlines must obtain new authorization from the Civil Aviation Organization to conduct IFR passenger flights.
This NOTAM is valid from:
Friday, May 22, 2026, at 00:16 Iran time
to:
Monday, May 25, 2026, at 12:00 noon Iran time.
The extension of these restrictions indicates that despite a relative reduction in tensions, the security situation and military control over western Iran’s airspace are still ongoing, and the country’s airspace has not yet returned to normal conditions.
