I can definitively say that the claim that Iran has entered economic collapse is not true.

Abdolnasser Hemmati, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran:

I can definitively say that the claim that Iran has entered economic collapse is not true.

The process of collecting Iran's foreign claims and resources continues, and in addition, we also possess domestic reserves.

Furthermore, we have resources at our disposal whose details cannot be disclosed for various reasons.

I tell the President of the United States: Iran has foreign currency, and has enough of it.

The enemies impose new sanctions on Iran every week, but the country's economic system continues to function.

We are ready to supply $2 billion in foreign currency to the market.

The dust stirred up in the foreign exchange market will settle, and the recent increase in the exchange rate is more influenced by psychological factors than by real causes.

The volume of sanctions and the economic siege imposed on Iran is very extensive, but providing the country's needed foreign currency, the people's livelihood needs, and the basic needs of factories and production units could not be overlooked.

Although the people are suffering from inflation and feel its weight in their daily lives, we have not yet entered hyperinflation, and I consider its likelihood to be weak.

The monetary and prudential measures of the Central Bank have helped control the pace of inflation.

In the current situation, the most important duty of the Central Bank is to control the pace of inflation and prevent the economy from entering a hyperinflationary path.
