I went to my office at eight thirty and to the Imam Khomeini Hosseiniyeh at nine in the morning and participated in the Friday Imams' seminar. Mr. Meshkini [the Friday Imam of Qom] and Yathrabi [the Friday Imam of Kashan] thanked me for the achievements of my trip. I gave them a detailed talk about the duties of the clergy. I returned to my office.
At eight thirty I went to my office and at nine in the morning I went to the Imam Khomeini Hosseiniyeh and attended the seminar of Friday Imams. Mr. Meshkini [Friday Imam of Qom] and Yathrabi [Friday Imam of Kashan] thanked me for the achievements of my trip. I gave them a detailed talk regarding the duties of the clergy.
I returned to my office. I completed the work. Officials from the Ministry of Cooperatives and representatives of exemplary cooperatives came. They reported; I encouraged them. Mr. Afsharzadeh, secretary of the National Olympic Committee, came and reported on the state of the Olympics and asked for my assistance in selecting the president of the Olympic Committee.
Dr. [Hadi] Manafi [Head of the Environmental Protection Organization] and environmental deputies came. They did not have anything important to say. At noon, my brother Mohammad [Head of the Broadcasting Organization] came for consultation on broadcasting issues.
In the afternoon, I attended the Cabinet meeting. The discussions remained unfinished. At night, I was a guest of the Leadership. We discussed the issues of Abu Musa, Syrian mediation, the events in Germany and the German messages, and economic and banking matters.
