Dr. [Hadi] Manafi, [Deputy President and Head of the Environmental Protection Organization] and Atka officials [= Army Supply Union] came. They asked me to judge about the dumping of sewage from the Miandoab sugar factory [belonging to Atka] into the river [Zarine River], which caused the loss of a number of fish, and Atka was fined five hundred million tomans in court. They agreed to compromise by paying some clothes, cameras, cars, motorcycles and food to the [Environmental Protection Organization].

Mr. Ali Khani came. He asked for the construction works around Qazvin and expressed his displeasure with the recent events of the Assembly of Experts, which was a blow to the Clergymen's Assembly, and asked me to think about them in order to console them.

The session of the Islamic Council, for the first time in the history of the revolution, was not recognized due to the abstinence of a group of representatives due to protesting the program of the board of directors. According to reports, radical statements were made against the opposite line. Mr. [Hamid] Mirzadeh came for current affairs and reconstruction.

Dr. [Abdullah] Jasbi came for the affairs of Islamic Azad University. Dr. [Mustafa] Moin and Engineers [Mirhossein] Mousavi and [Hamid] Mirzadeh complained about stopping [Gholamohsin Karbaschi], the mayor of Tehran, from continuing the construction of a research town in Chitgar; I told the mayor to cooperate. In the evening, I attended the government meeting. It was approved to clear the cars imported by Iranians living in Kuwait and give permission to sell them.

At night I was a guest of Ayatollah Khamenei. Most of the discussions were about the consequences of the recent elections of the Assembly of Experts and the intensity of the difference between the two factions and how to solve it. Also, in our meetings, we decided to have a discussion of social and jurisprudential issues; We chose "Ghana" for the first discussion.
