I arrived at my office at 7:30 a.m. Dr. [Abbas] Sheibani came. He sought assistance for hospital equipment and the construction of a university town. Dr. [Hassan] Habibi came and gave a report on the trip to Syria. [Mr. Abdollah Noori], the Minister of Interior, and the governors of Gilan and the designated provinces came. I thanked them for their efforts in reconstruction; I told them to inform the people about the services that had been performed.

Mr. [Gholamali] Shahrestani, [representative of Zabol], came with Mowlavi Hamed to refer work to the Mowlavis. Messrs. [Masoud Rughani] Zanjani, [Seyed Hassan] Firoozabadi, and [Akbar] Torkan came regarding the armed forces' credits; they had disagreements over the amount allocated for food rations. Agreement was reached on next year's credits and entitlements.

In the afternoon, the Anti-Narcotics Headquarters had a meeting. I listened to the report. We decided on funding for addicts' camps. I worked in my office until 8 p.m. and then went home. Cameramen came to make the film "A Day in the Life of the [President]"; at home, they filmed dinner and social interactions.
