I worked at home until half past eight in the morning. I went to the Imam's house to meet the Imam and we went with the Imam to the Hosseinieh Jamaran. Before the Imam's speech, I spoke a few sentences. There were representatives and their families and some guards. Imam also spoke.
For the first time, this meeting was held at the Imam's request. The imam made hints about not attacking the opposition representatives of the government, but most of their content was aimed at the future and they strongly warned against disrupting the work of the government and demanded cooperation to speed up the formation of the new cabinet.
After the meeting in the Imam's office, I met with Mr. Mohtashmi, Mr. Fomani, and we discussed the issues of Syria, the Emirates, and the Persian Gulf. I stayed at home in the afternoon. Mr. [Parviz] Afsari, a security guard who was imprisoned in France for 32 months on the charge of attempting to assassinate Bani Sadr, came with Mohsen Sanei and gave a report on the interrogations and the conditions of the French prisons and the tortures and abuses of the French. I told him to give his content to mass media.
Mr. [Hossein] Hashemian, the representative of Rafsanjan, came and gave a report on the situation of Khark Island. Some of the representative's wives came to see Eft. Asr Efat went to the house of Mrs. Naqash, an Iraqi refugee whose family was destroyed by Saddam.
In the evening, I went to the opening of the [first] international exhibition of [technical and engineering] books. The university publishing office has launched 5200 new titles of scientific books [from 75 foreign publishers].
We had a meeting of the head of the parliament and then I went to the meeting of the heads of forces at Mr. Mousavi Ardabili's house. In the news meeting, the message of the Americans regarding the sending of Hag missile equipment, airplanes, missiles, etc., on the condition of the gradual release of the American hostages in Lebanon, was brought up and it was decided that they should take the first step, then we will enter into negotiations. If we can force the Lebanese Muslims to release one of them, the second plane carrying supplies will land and so on. Regarding the Iraqi prisoners, it was also discussed and agreed that the disabled and those who do not return to Iraq will be released gradually. I came home late.
