I wrote the memoirs. Mr. Mohsen Rezaei informed me by telephone that Iraq had launched a counterattack this morning with four brigades in the Moharram operational area, but it had not been successful, had suffered heavy casualties, and we were still engaged in fighting. I entrusted the Friday prayers to Mr. [Mohammad] Emami-Kashani. In the afternoon, one of the teachers at the Parsa girls' school came and spoke about the disruptive activities of the Hojjatieh Association there in opposition to the Revolution; it was more an impression than reliable information.

At night, the officials of the Hajj Organization came, and Mr. [Abolfazl] Tavakoli-Bina gave a report and spoke about improper practices in the Hajj propaganda administration that had led to the dismissal of Mr. [Seyyed Mohammad] Mousavi-Khoiniha. Mr. Ali Davoudi came from Rafsanjan. He spoke about the progress of the work in Kahnuj. He is building hospitals there and in the city of Anar.
