In the evening, [Professor Lomar], one of the members of the UNESCO delegation who came to Iran to see the historical centers damaged in the Iraqi bombings, came to meet the Director General of UNESCO [Dr. Mukhtar Ambo] as a confidential message, but he did not present a message and only made a suggestion about Saddam being an aggressor and the need for us to take a position in order to accept the proposal of not building cultural centers.
I worked in my office until eight in the evening. Ahmad Agha Telfoni said that a group of representatives have written a letter to the imam and expressed their concern and responsibility for the statements made in the anniversary meeting of the Islamic Republic Party which were against the government and in favor of the opponents of the government. He asked me to ask for the tape of the speech and listen to it. Little by little, these kinds of things will doubt Imam's opinion about the party.
