In the evening I attended a meeting of the Party's Central Council and we had various discussions. At night there was an advisory meeting of the leaders at Mr Khamenei's office. We discussed the new ministers, the protests that MPs have against the government, and the country's judicial situation.
Before the public session, I studied the reports in my office. I chaired part of the meeting and then handed it over to Mr [Mohammad] Yazdi. I carried out my work in my office until midday. Dr [Hassan] Rouhani came and discussed the dispute between the Supervisory Board of the Iranian Broadcasting Organisation and the Islamic Association with my brother Mohammad, and we agreed to hold a meeting. In the afternoon, a few MPs came to see me about their business. Mr Mousavi Khoeiniha, who was supposed to come to India with me, came for advice as he has been appointed by the Imam to run the Hajj affairs, and it is now decided that he will not be coming to India and that Mr [Hassan] Rouhani will go in his place.
In the evening, I attended a meeting of the Party's Central Council, where we had various discussions. At night, there was a consultative meeting of the party leaders at Mr Khamenei's office. We discussed the new ministers, the objections that MPs have to the government, and the state of the country's judiciary.
Finally, after some hesitation, it was decided that we would go to India, following a statement from the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the withdrawal of Mrs [Indira] Gandhi's remarks in America. However, to avoid coinciding with the presence of the Iraqi Foreign Minister in India, we postponed the trip by two days.
