In the afternoon, Dr. Bahrami came from The Hague and gave a report on the work of the International Court of Justice and said that due to the resignation of the arbitrator by mutual consent and the disagreement and automatic appointment of a judge from Dutch judges, there is a danger; because it has been approved that Iranians who have obtained American citizenship are covered by the Algiers Declaration, we are considering leaving The Hague; it was decided to investigate faster so that we can make a decision.
Mr. [Ali Akbar] Parvaresh [Minister of Education] came to visit. He spoke a little about the necessity of raising spiritual issues to resolve disputes and was concerned about the atmosphere in the parliament against him. Mr. Colonel [Mohammad] Salimi [Minister of Defense] came and spoke about amending the law on the management of defense industries and the army's accounting. I met with the Indonesian ambassador; he was seeking to develop relations and I thanked him for the news of the Indonesian parliament's decision to oppose Israel's presence in the Inter-Parliamentary Union and promised to support Indonesia's position on East Timor.
