We set off from the airport towards Bangalore and arrived there late at night. The Speaker of the State Assembly and others, together with a large crowd, had come to greet us, but the police, who were responsible for our security, would not allow me to speak to the people, so we went straight to the hall that the students had prepared. It was a splendid assembly, and I spoke for an hour.

In the morning, we completed our business and flew to Bombay. The flight took two hours. At Bombay airport, in addition to the Speaker of the Assembly and the local officials, Muslim students and a number of local people had come to greet us. They spoke, and I spoke briefly as well. We went to the hotel and, after a short rest, attended Friday prayers at the Shia mosque. I gave a speech and Mr Hamed Damni, the representative for Iranshahr, translated it into Urdu. We were guests of the Bombay State Assembly for lunch at the hotel; the Speaker and a minister, who had also been at the airport, were present. We held a press conference.

We set off from the airport for Bangalore and arrived there early in the evening. The President of the State Assembly and others, along with a large crowd, had come to greet us, but the police, who were responsible for our security, would not allow me to speak to the people, and we went straight to the hall that the students had prepared. It was a magnificent assembly, and I spoke for an hour. They expressed passionate sentiments in support of our revolution. Islamic students from Iran and Iraq performed a programme. Dinner was meant to be hosted by the students and the clergy, but the two state assemblies requested that it be left to them, and as a result, with the presidents of the two assemblies present, we were the guests of the assembly at the hotel.
