I was at home. Some of the children and relatives also came and went. Introduction [The Book of Tranquility and Challenge], I prepared the memoirs of 1983. I proposed the establishment of the "Justice" Prize for the Rafsanjan Documentation Center, Library, and Museum to Mohsen [the CEO of the Office for the Publication of the Teachings of the Revolution]. Mohsen reported on the results of his trip to treat his son Ehsan and said that he and his other children have rotary liver that is tired and hungry and has no bilirubin drainage. He reported that Mr. [Mohammad-Hassan] Malek Madani, the new mayor of Tehran, took the construction of the subway very seriously and did not agree to his resignation [from the CEO of the Tehran Metro Company] and was ready to pay the costs of the development and perhaps against his wishes.

[George W. Bush], the President of the United States, has made new statements in a rather important speech on the Palestinian question. It seems that from the height of the world's public opinion in favor of the Palestinian people and against the policy of the United States and Israel, as well as the opposition of European governments to Israel's behavior, it has retreated and has told Israel to withdraw from the areas it has recently occupied and to stop building settlements in the West Bank, but also to call on the Palestinians not to resort to violence.

He has also asked Iran and Syria not to help the Mujahideen Palestinians, and this may give Israel an excuse not to act on Bush's wishes. Just as it did not comply with the request of the Security Council in Resolution 1402. After a one-day delay, the Security Council issued a resolution today calling on Israel not to withdraw. The United States also voted against yesterday's threat.

A pro-Palestinian group in Saudi Arabia called on the people of Saudi Arabia to demonstrate today in the east of the country in support of the Palestinians, despite the opposition of the Saudi government. Contrary to Turkey's previous policy, Turkish Prime Minister Ecevit has made an important and harsh speech in favor of the Palestinians against Israel, and he has attacked Arab leaders for their weak support for the Palestinian people.

The Friday prayers were held by the Supreme Leader and they called on the oil-rich Islamic countries to support the oil weapon, cut off relations and support the Palestinian people. The proposal was costly to Israel and the United States, who also objected to Bush's remarks last night. Bush's remarks were welcomed by some European countries, Israel and Yasser Arafat, and some countries, nations, and the media considered them to be support for Israel and opposition to the Palestinian Mujahideen, and the Lebanese Hezbollah considered it a war against the forces of the faithful Mujahideen.

Mahdi, who has returned from his Umrah trip, says that the Arab broadcaster and media have dealt with the issue of Palestine better and more than the Iranian media. BBC Radio tried to portray the Supreme Leader's speech as moderate and to somehow retouch the people's lack of support for the announcement of the Reformists' demonstration in front of the Palestinian embassy and their widespread support today with the official announcement of the regime.

Younus Qanooni, the Afghan Minister of Interior, explained that so far 160 members of Hekmatyar's party have been arrested on charges of plotting against the interim government and attempting to kill former Shah Mohammad Zahir, but Hezb-e-Islami denies the plot.

In Bahrain, a huge demonstration was held in front of the U.S. embassy and the embassy was attacked with stones, which is painful for the U.S., which recently called Bahrain a close ally outside of NATO. Saudi Arabia also prevented demonstrations in Dhahran.
