In the afternoon, Mr. Saveh, the Director General of Education in Kerman, came to see me; he complained about the monopolistic behavior of the Kerman University Community, which controls the province's centers of power. Then the officials responsible for protecting dignitaries from the IRGC came; they raised the problems in their work—the lack of clearly defined boundaries for their responsibilities and the overlap of their duties with other security organizations. They are right. At present, the Committee, the Gendarmerie, the IRGC, and private individuals are all involved in this matter. Then the committee organizing the commemoration ceremony for the anniversary of Martyr Motahhari came; they explained their plans. I also spoke to them.
A group of judges and prosecutors from the Revolutionary Court came. While reporting on the services they had performed, they expressed concern about their uncertain future. They wanted banking violations, drug trafficking, and similar offenses to be referred to the Revolutionary Court. I spoke to them. I reassured them and explained the justified criticisms of the authorities, especially the Imam's criticism of their excesses.
Then we held a meeting with the Imam's representatives in the armed forces. In Mr. [Fazlollah] Mahallati's appointment decree, the Imam had ordered the creation of a unified organization for comprehensive oversight of the armed forces, but this order had not been implemented. A charter had been prepared, and we discussed it. It was decided to consult again with the President and the Imam. The children had come to the Parliament, and since our house is being painted, they are going to stay at the Parliament for two or three days. At noon, a group of Sunni Friday prayer leaders came. They expressed their loyalty. I also spoke to them.
