Full text of the diary:
Mr. [Asghar] Ghaffari, the managing director of Refah Stores, came and completed his unfinished articles about the condition of the stores, the moral deviations in the youth, and the financial corruption in the police force. Mr. [Abdolhamid Bagheri] Bonabi, the former representative of Tabriz, came. He told about the financial problems of the Bonab Seminary and asked for help. He asked me my opinion about Mr. [Seyyed Mohammad] Khatami's programs and speeches at the university, and I said that it was not positive, and he confirmed.

Brother Mohammad, [advisor to the president] came. We talked about working at the Center for Strategic Studies. As usual, some days a week, we had lunch with Mohsen [the CEO of the Metro Company and the head of the Expediency Council's office] and discussed the affairs of the office and the political issues of the society.
In the evening, the mayors of metropolitan cities came. They complained about the problems of the cities due to the increasing migration from the villages and the problems that the councils create, and the lack of attention of the Ministry of Interior to the municipalities after the formation of the councils, and the incomplete regulations and lack of a serious custodian in the government and parliament, and said that the golden era of municipalities was during the period of construction, which the municipalities regret today. They asked us to include clauses in the Expediency Council in general policies to solve these problems.
In the right-wing media, there are strong protests against the Palestine conference at Tarbiat Modares University, because in most of the speeches, and especially the speech of Mr. [Mohammad-Reza] Tajik, the advisor to the president, Iran's policy of favoring Palestine has been condemned in its current form and they have demanded that we put national interests ahead of the interests of the Palestinians. Ayatollah Khamenei also said in our meeting last night that they had strongly objected to Dr. [Mustafa] Moin, the Tajik [Minister of Science]. Some of the attendees, such as Ms. Zahra Mostafavi, the Imam's daughter, and Ms. [Marzieh] Dabbagh, [a former representative of Tehran], had left the meeting in protest.

Today, there have been many protests in the Majles against the arrest of Mr. [Hossein] Loghmanian, [representative of Hamedan], but they have not taken any specific action.
In another U.S. plane, a clash broke out today and the plane was forced to make an emergency landing, and the U.S. announced that the explosives discovered in the shoes of the British passenger a few days ago were very dangerous, and for this reason, once again in the airports, the controls have been tightened and the feeling of insecurity has been renewed
