The Expediency Council held a session. Before the agenda, there was a discussion about the election results. Mr. [Seyyed Mohammad] Jahromi claimed that most of the elected representatives in the provinces were from the Imam Line and Leadership Coalition.

There was a discussion and decision-making regarding the interpretation of the Council's resolution concerning complaints about agricultural lands that had been taken from people in the early days of the revolution and redistributed. It was decided to allow courts to continue their work; the deadline has expired. The Parliament's internal regulations, part of which is contested by the Guardian Council, were on the agenda, and Mr. Nategh [Nouri, Speaker of Parliament] requested that we delay this so that the new regulations could be implemented in the next Parliament, not in this one.

At noon, the children gathered in my office. They were anxious about the election results. In the afternoon, managers and a group of academic staff from Mazandaran University came. They provided a report on the university's situation and complained about the government not paying attention to the needs of universities, focusing more on political issues. They appreciated my previous support and requested that more attention be given to research in general policies at the Council.

Mr. [Abbas] Kaabi, [a representative from Khuzestan in the Assembly of Experts], along with a group of cultural and revolutionary figures from Arab Khuzestan, expressed concerns about the political and cultural situation of Arab youth in Khuzestan. They said that government cultural policies have misled proud Arab youth and requested assistance to address this situation. In several cities across the country, there have been confrontations between supporters of electoral candidates, resulting in casualties in Shush Daniel.

Mr. [Reza] Amrollahi, [President of K.N. Toosi University], came and expressed concern about leftist attacks against me. I told him not to worry; such opposition can draw public attention to the nature of actions. One way to understand individuals is through recognizing their opponents.

In Austria, a protest against the racist policies of the Freedom Party, which has joined the government, has gathered 200,000 people, and it has been reported that protests will continue in the coming days.
