Full Text of the Daily Notes:

At 10 a.m., I went to my office and after completing some pending tasks, I headed to the Koushk. Although today has been declared "Clean Air Day" with a request for fewer cars to be out, like other days, traffic was heavy and there were traffic jams. In the evening, I returned home and spent the rest of the night studying the history of Imam Sadiq (PBUH) for tomorrow's Friday sermon.

Yaser came and informed me that the inventory of the book "Reports and Memoirs 1981: Crossing the Crisis" is running low, and we decided to proceed with the ninth printing. He reported on the export of sand and construction materials to Kuwait. Ms. Asadi, who had gone to Switzerland with Fati for her foot treatment, called to inform me that she plans to go to the hospital tomorrow, and if the doctor sees fit, surgery will take place; however, Fati is anxious, and it would be good if one of the brothers could come to Switzerland. I called Mohsen, who is in Europe for metro work, to go there. He informed me that he had contacted Fati and made arrangements to go.

Statements condemning the Judiciary regarding the condemnation of the passengers [of the Berlin conference] continue both inside and outside the country, and it is surprising that the stigma of foreign support for domestic individuals has faded and become normalized, with even the European Union and the foreign ministries of some Western and American states officially supporting them. Disputes over the reduction of the Broadcasting Organization's budget and the Guardian Council in the Parliament continue, and propaganda for Mr. Khatami's candidacy [in the 2001 presidential election] is escalating.

Saddam [Hussein, President of Iraq]'s son announced that Kuwait is part of Iraqi territory, and the oil war continues, while [George Bush], the new President of the United States, stated that sanctions against Iraq have not been successful so far and must be intensified.
