Mohseni Ajieh, head of the judicial system, at the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary:
So far, 82,000 people have been granted amnesty, and this number may increase.

Of this amount, 22,000 people are "pardoned for riots" who were either convicted or were pardoned before being sentenced.

Of course, a few of these people were in prison, and most of them were either out of prison with an order issued, or their cases had not been completed yet.

Of the other convicts, apart from "disturbances", more than 60,000 people were pardoned, of which 25,000 people were either released from prison or their prison sentences were pardoned.

Also, the sentences of 34 thousand people were reduced as a result of the recent amnesty. Convicted and accused of violent crimes and theft were not included in the amnesty.
