Akbar Hashemi's memoirs on April 19

On the sidelines of the Berlin conference, an interview of Mr. Akbar Ganji was published in the German magazine "Tax Zeitung" with the title "Ayatollah Khomeini's End is in the Museum of History".

But Ganji denied saying such a thing at that time.

Despite Ganji's denial, pseudo-newspaper Keihan fully reflected the article published in the German publication on the first page for two consecutive days.

"Imam Khomeini Works Editing and Publishing Institute" wrote a letter to Keyhan newspaper on April 17, 2000 and objected to the publication of that interview despite Ganji's denial.

In the institute's letter, it considered the publication of the fake interview as a "violation of privacy" and stated in that letter:

"The retelling and inclusion of the published material in the aforementioned publication has been denied by the interviewee, it is regrettable, the first effect of such quotations and disclosures is to break the respected boundaries of the Islamic society and normalize contradictions and insulting the holy things. We expect you to be more careful in quotes like this and instead of promoting and spreading the same insulting statements, follow up on the matter through legal authorities.
