A 4.8 magnitude earthquake shook Garmsar this morning

Reza Khani, Governor of Garmsar: 

The quake knocked out power to residential homes and the internet. 

Rescue workers are ready. 

The sound of the earthquake has been terrible, people are not afraid. 

Head of Prehospital Emergency Department and Director of Incidents of Semnan University of Medical Sciences: 

The 4.8-magnitude earthquake left nine injured, most of them suffering from anxiety and nervous tension. 

Of those, seven went to the treatment center on their own, one was treated at the site and one was taken to the hospital with a fracture.
