یادداشت شیخ عبدالله نوری درباره بخشی از خاطرات سال ۱۳۷۸ اکبر هاشمی رفسنجانی خاطرتان هست؟

Abdollah Nouri had stated that while his lawyer and friends might have requested a pardon for his release from prison, he himself did not make any such request.

In Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani's memoirs from 2000, there are references to these negotiations, though it will take two more years to see the memoirs from 2002 (assuming they are not altered).

However, on November 3, 2002, Abdullah Nouri was granted a pardon by Ayatollah Khamenei, following a proposal from the clerical representatives of the Sixth Parliament and after the death of his brother, Dr. Alireza Nouri, a member of the Sixth Parliament, and he was released from prison.

Interestingly, despite receiving a high number of votes in the Medical Council elections, Alireza Nouri was not appointed to the position by President Mohammad Khatami, who preferred not to accept the formal proposal and instead appointed Dr. Zafarghandi as the head of the Medical Council of the Islamic Republic.
