The wife of Mostafa Tajzadeh raised concerns: families of some prisoners are worried under war conditions / A request for increased phone call hours with families.

Fakhrosadat Mohtashamipour, regarding the communication conditions of political and security prisoners, told a Jamaran reporter: "After the 12-day war, the space for in-person visits became very restricted, and waiting for a visit would take between forty days to a month.

According to the Prisons Organization regulations, all these prisoners should have been granted leave during wartime; however, out of everyone in his ward, Mostafa has not mentioned anyone being sent on leave. Not only has leave not been granted, but the welfare facilities are also very limited. In the current situation, the telephone is the only reassurance for families to hear from them, yet it remains cut off for several hours during the day.

The window for these phone calls is from 8 AM to 9 PM. We followed up to have this time extended, and they increased it until 10 PM, but it is still cut off for several hours during the day. Even when it is connected, it is disrupted due to high congestion. Our request to the prison officials is to investigate why the phones are being cut off and then to make the service available 24/7, as families want to stay informed about the well-being of their loved ones.

Mr. Tajzadeh called and asked for this to be publicized, as everyone is facing problems and is upset by this situation. It is their natural right to be able to contact their families whenever they wish."
