With all of Massoud Pezeshkian's proposed candidates rejected by the country's supervisory bodies and after consultations, the President appointed "Zahra Behroozazar" as Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, replacing Ansiyeh Khazaeli.

History, of course, has repeated itself more intensely:

Ebrahim Raisi was prepared to appoint Elham Yavari to this position and even took her to meet Ayatollah Khamenei along with his government, but he had to, at the last moment, accept the influence of certain parties and appoint Ansiyeh Khazaeli, a matter I addressed at that time in a note on Abdi Media.

Now, all of Massoud Pezeshkian's candidates have not been approved. All the women I respect, who are among the prominent figures of Iranian women in the country, I have no intention of naming.

In any case, it was time for Ms. Behroozazar.

I hope that Ms. Behrooz Azar will elevate this area of vice presidency through consultation with former vice presidents and the prominent figures in women's society and, to the extent of her authority, bring about transformation.
