He was born on July 4, 1932, and completed his primary education in Tehran.After his father's abdication and exile, he accompanied him to South Africa. Following Reza Shah's death in 1944, Hamid Reza was sent to Beirut to continue his studies.Due to his lack of connection with the Pahlavi family, Hamid Reza did not leave Iran after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. He was imprisoned for some time and eventually passed away on July 22, 1992. He was buried in Behesht-e Zahra cemetery, Section 76, Row 27, Number 64.
