Hossain Fardoust was a prominent Iranian military and intelligence officer. He served as:
- Major General of the Imperial Iranian Army
- Chief of the Special Information Office from its inception in 1959
- Deputy Director of SAVAK from 1961 to 1973
- Head of the Imperial Inspection Organization from 1972 to 1979
He was one of the most influential figures in the intelligence community during the Pahlavi era and a close friend and classmate of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
