Attorney Amir Raeesian announced the acquittal of Zia Nabavi on charges of spreading falsehoods in the so-called "SAS" case.

Attorney Amir Raeesian announced the acquittal of Zia Nabavi on charges of spreading falsehoods in the so-called "SAS" case.
In an interview with Shargh Network, Raeesian said: "The trial for the charge of publishing lies for Zia Nabavi was held in Branch 1207 of the Criminal Court, and in the end, a verdict of acquittal was issued in favor of my client." The defendant issued a verdict of acquittal.
Following the publication of Zia Nabavi's memoir about the presence of bed bugs in Evin Prison, and after he was summoned to Branch 7 of the Prosecutor's Office and charged with spreading lies, his case was finally referred to Branch 1207 with an arrest warrant. The trial was held at a time when the political prisoner's lawyer had told Emtedad about three months ago: "The prison authorities had taken him out of the ward because of this note and transferred him to solitary confinement for one week by the decision of the prison's disciplinary council."
Zia Nabavi, who is serving a year in prison for protesting the poisoning of students, published a note from Evin in May of this year, saying that there is a bed bug in Ward 8 of this prison and the health problems caused by it.
