Branch 99 of the Appeals Court of Tehran Province, confirming the decision issued by the Court of First Instance

Branch 99 of the Court of Appeals of Tehran Province, upholding the ruling issued by the Court of First Instance, rejected the petition of a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bar Association against the National Union of Iranian Bar Associations regarding the ruling on the invalidity and invalidity of the advertisement of this union and the annulment of the minutes of the General Assembly of Skoda.

According to Skoda's Public Relations, last year (2024), Farshid Farahnakian, a member of the board of directors of the Central Bar Association, filed a petition demanding the issuance of a ruling on the invalidity and invalidity of the advertisement of the National Union of Iranian Bar Associations (SKODA) and the cancellation of the minutes of the general assembly of SKODA, which was raised in Branch 46 of the General Legal Court of the Shahid Sadr Judicial Complex in Tehran, and finally this branch voted to reject the petition.

Farahnakian then appealed this decision in the Court of Appeal, which Branch 99 of the Appeals Court of Tehran Province rejected this request and issued its decision in favor of SKODA.

In his petition, Farahnakian had stated that the announcement of the changes in Skoda published in the Official Gazette No. 22416 dated 28/02/2022 in the section related to determining the authorized signature, is contrary to Article 2 of the amended statutes of this union as described in the advertisement published in the Official Gazette No. 20352 dated 18/01/2015.

Skoda was represented in this case by Mr. Saeed Parvar and Mr. Farrokh Forouzan, and the National Union of Iranian Bar Associations considers it necessary to appreciate and thank the efforts and efforts of these two lawyers.
