The Chief Justice of Tehran Province ordered that in non-sensitive cases, requests under Article 477 should also be accepted from lawyers.
Al-Qasi added: The physical presence of the convicted person is only necessary in cases where the convict is absconding or where there is a need to obtain direct clarification from the individual; in all other cases, the request can be received through the lawyer.
