Another commendable action by the Organization for Registration of Deeds and Properties of the country / The method of smart naming for companies and the sealing of commercial ledgers.

The Director-General of the Registration of Companies and Non-Commercial Institutions at the Organization for Registration of Deeds and Properties of the country, regarding the implementation of smart naming for companies, stated that smart naming is available on the Kateb system at https://web.kateb.ir. Applicants should enter the system for smart naming on Kateb, input their company's name, and initially, there is no need to send it to the General Directorate of Company Registration. They should enter the name into this system, and if it shows red, it means the chosen name is either similar to another, foreign, or rejected for other reasons. They can also intelligently select one of the 5 names suggested by the system's database.

The second color that might be shown for smart naming is yellow, indicating that the name is acceptable but might require a license, or it's a name already used by another company and needs a prefix or suffix, or it might be a famous name; thus, it should be submitted with some modifications. The last color, green, means they can submit the name without worries. If the system displays green for a name, it can be sent to the company name registration office for review, where over 70% of names are approved.

Additionally, the electronic sealing of commercial ledgers is another measure that has been implemented. The Registration Organization, in collaboration with the Tax Affairs, has managed to eliminate physical commercial ledgers and implement electronic sealing. For this, one simply needs to enter the commercial ledger sealing system, and the sealing is done in less than 5 minutes. The rest of the operations are carried out through the national tax portal at Tax.gov.ir with a tracking number provided.
