Mustafa Pourmohammadi's Reaction to the Election Results

Dear people of Iran, greetings and salutations to all of you who came on July 8, and respect to all of you who did not believe and stayed away. Your presence and absence carry a significant message that I hope will be heard. Your message is clear and unambiguous.

I still believe that there is no way other than the miracle of trust. The opportunity to meet you was brief, and there are many things left unsaid. In this short time, I expressed some of your wishes clearly and from the depths of my heart. You have shown with your kindness that the voice of the heart is still worth listening to.

I knew very well that, under these circumstances, turning kindness into votes would be impossible. Nonetheless, regardless of the outcome of the votes, I remained true to my commitment to you. I have been and will continue to be faithful to my promise to you.

I firmly believe that the authentic discourse emerging from the Islamic Revolution is the solution and the remedy for today's pains. The elected representative of the people, regardless of their perspective, has no path other than to walk the road of your trust. I ask you to come out in great numbers on July 15 and make the right decision to pave the way for effectiveness and rationality, and to realize the miracle of trust.
