Expediency Council, Parliament's Decision to Reduce Car Import Tariffs
Hamshahri newspaper wrote:
The Expediency Council did not approve the parliament's decision to reduce the tariff on car imports to 60 percent and increase the foreign exchange resources for car imports next year to 3.3 billion euros.
According to some members of parliament, this issue can lead to an increase in the price of cars. While the import tariff for gasoline cars is currently between 55 and 95 percent, the Assembly's decision will increase the cost of importing cars. This decision contradicts the society's demand to regulate the car market with imports and frustrates the parliament's efforts.
