According to the approved budget, starting next year, the basis for calculating the currency of customs duties will change from 28,500 tomans to nearly 70,000 tomans, which means that customs duties on mobile phone imports will increase by 140 percent. This is one of the factors affecting the increase in the price of phones."

According to Alian, with the approval of the 2025 budget in the parliament, the price of mobile phones will increase with more acceleration. Unless the government asks the parliament to prevent this change in customs duties from happening through a resolution or amendment, which is very unlikely.

Stating that the basis for calculating the customs tariff in dollars is 28,500 to 29,000 tomans, Alayan says: "According to the budget plan approved by the parliament for the year 1404, the basis for calculating the customs tariff of the dollar will be the foreign exchange system, which is about 69 to 70 thousand tomans, which means that it will grow by about 140 percent." / Digiato
