Years ago, it was suggested that 500-megawatt power plants be built alongside the gas pipeline to Pakistan and electricity be exported, but no action was taken.
Exporting electricity to neighboring countries such as Pakistan and Afghanistan is easier and less costly than exporting gas.
Iran has the capacity to generate at least 200 megawatts of solar power for export and to reduce reliance on hydro and fossil fuel electricity. / Modern Economy
