Due to the sudden decision of the Turkish government and the cancellation of the fuel tax exemption for Iranian trucks, hundreds of trucks and their drivers have been stranded in the cold for almost a week, in addition to the suspension of exports and imports from the Turkish border.
Hossein Salehvarzi, the former head of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, tweeted: "Regardless of the differences over Syria, it is necessary for the Foreign Ministry and the relevant agencies to pursue and resolve the issue through negotiations with the Turkish side."
