According to the new letter from the Tax Affairs Organization, the importation of goods through border routes such as couriers and sailors, at the clearance stage, will only be subject to a 50% payment of value-added tax and duties, and in the first year of the law's implementation, it will be exempt from other taxes.Moreover, the profit from the sale of these goods in the first year, provided that the tax declaration and legal books are submitted on time, will not be subject to income tax, and the difference in value-added tax will not be collected from the eligible parties.These exemptions are aimed at formalizing border trade, reducing smuggling, and supporting the livelihoods of border residents, and the Tax Affairs Organization has promised maximum assistance in enforcing the laws and issuing electronic invoices.
