I reached my office at half past eight in the morning. Mr. [Mustafa] Mohaghegh Damad [Head of the General Inspection Organization of the country] came. He gave a report on the state of inspection of the whole country and talked about the weakness of management in the Faculty of Theology [Tehran University] and the drop in academics and about some of the appointments of Mr. [Mohammed] Yazdi in the faculty.

A group of MPs came from Kurdistan. They complained and criticized the Acting Governor of Kurdistan and Mr. [Sidmosi] Mousavi, the representative of the leadership. Mr. [Gouders] Iftikhar Jahormi [Iranian representative at the Hague Tribunal] came. He was allowed to negotiate with the American representative in The Hague for a faster resolution of the issues of the Hague Tribunal; This negotiation is supposed to be done by the end of the week.
Mr. [Mohsen] Noorbakhsh [Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance] came. He gave a report on his trip to Washington for the [meeting] of the International Monetary Fund and talked with the representatives of France, Germany, India, etc. regarding the development of relations there. I emphasized selling currency to lower the price of the dollar.
Mr. Nik Ayin came. He said about the weakness of the presidential staff and office. Mr. [Mohsen] Rafiq Dost came and gave a report about the many facilities of Mustafafan Foundation. In the evening, Dr. Hashemi [Golpaygani, secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution] came for the program of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution.
The health ministers participating in the global health seminar came. I spoke for them. After the meeting, the Minister of Health of Kuwait requested a private meeting; I accepted He expressed his love and desire to develop relations and expressed his displeasure over the aggression of Iraq and Saudi Arabia towards Kuwait and the execution of Kuwaitis in Saudi Arabia. He had some material about Mr. Montazeri's condition, Majlis, Rafsanjan, Judiciary and some kind of nagging that started towards the leadership. I went home late.
