Until nine in the morning, I worked at home, then I went to Jamaran Hosseiniyeh to visit the Imam. A group of the underprivileged and two or three of the country's top officials were there. [Ayatollah] Mr. Khamenei congratulated [him on the arrival of Eid al-Ghadir] and the Imam spoke.  Then [Mr. Khamenei] the President came to our home. He and I, without knowing of each other's decision, had planned to go at the same time to visit the disabled at the Tharallah rehabilitation center in Zafaraniyeh. We coordinated and went there together in my car. A number of disabled people whose spinal cords have been injured and who have become paralyzed are cared for there. We spoke with each of them  and then gave an interview together;  the confiscated home of General Toufanian is at their disposal.

In the afternoon, I went to the place [where] the Imam's guards are stationed and, on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, spoke to them about the effects of guardianship.  At night at home, I read the reports and watched the television program. I spoke with [Ayatollah] Mr. Khamenei about the positions of Messrs. [Mohammad-Reza] Mahdavi [Kani], [Mohammad-Mahdi] Rabbani [Amolshi], and [Jalaleddin] Farsi; it is not good that their talent, experience, and good capabilities should not be utilized and that such gentlemen should remain unemployed.
