In the evening, it was decided to give an appointment to Mr. [Mohammed Sharif] Mosaedieh, the second member of the Algerian parliament, who has come to Iran. I went to the parliament and met him. We discussed Palestine and other issues. Apparently, he came to develop and strengthen relations and has no specific job. He was a guest of the assembly at night. I did not attend the dinner. Mr. [Mehdi] Karroubi was the host.
I stayed the night in the parliament. Mr. [Masoud] Roghani Zanjani, the candidate for the Ministry of Planning and Budget, came. He was worried that he would not be able to work well in Mr. Mousavi's cabinet because of his expectations. He expressed his desire not to give a [confidence] vote. I consoled him.
