The country's foreign exchange reserves are two billion three hundred million dollars. It is dangerous and the needs are many.

At night, we were the guests of Mr. [Mousavi] Ardabili [Chairman of the Supreme Court] with the heads of other forces. The differences between the judicial system of Sistan and Baluchistan with the governor and the Friday imam, the quality of dealing with the evildoers of Taib, and the appointment of a person to negotiate with [French president] advisor [François] Mitterrand in Syria were discussed. I came home late. They informed that tonight we have an operation called "Ashura" in Mimak. Today, the Iraqis attacked our forces in the east of Basra, but they were repressed and many were killed and captured.
