I reached my office at half past seven in the morning. Mr. [Ali] Younesi, the public prosecutor of Tehran, came. He told the past situation and his reforms and plans and needs. Mr. [Mohammed Sadiq] Khalkhali [the representative of Qom] came. He told the problems of Khalkhal and the villages of Qom. Mr. [Isa] Velai, the head of the Commercial Commission, came. He gave hints about business and had requests.

[Mr. Seyed Reza Norouzzadeh] the representative of Esfrain came. The petition brought people's thanks regarding the revival of the Esfrain Foundation project. Mr. [Mohammad Mahdi] Akhundzadeh came. He told of his service in England. Salmani came to reform.

I told Mr. [Mohammed Ali] Najafi [Minister of Education] on the phone about hijab for schoolgirls. I resolved the dispute between the Minister of Roads and Transport and the Commander of the Air Force regarding the use of military aircraft to transport cattle bought from Canada. Talked with Noorbakhsh and Vahaji about currency distribution and....

In the evening, the Economic Council had a meeting. The purchase of nomadic livestock has been ordered, and this year the government has lost sixteen billion rials. It was discussed to prepare the payment amount and to continue the work, it was decided to think about it; A commission was investigated to feed the nomads during the drought instead of buying their lean livestock.

The purchase of basic goods was discussed. An additional amount of one and a half billion dollars was given to it by the Expediency Assessment Council, which we did not see any other option but to buy. I did the work until half past eight and went home. Efat went to meet Ayatollah Najafi Marashi and came back satisfied with what he heard from him.
