I was at home. Before sunrise, Mr. Aghazadeh announced that the first plane carrying the new Hag missiles had landed at Mehrabad Airport. It is good news. They claim that the new missiles have a range of 75,000 feet and can hit Soviet MiG-25s. I told the commander of the air force to try immediately. He informed in the evening that these are similar to our existing missiles. Mr. Aghazadeh says that their owners claim that it is new. It was decided that tomorrow they will be taken to Khark Island and practically tested.

In the afternoon, they informed from the house of Marashi brothers in Qom that their two children Mohsen and... have been arrested. I asked the Tehran Revolution Prosecutor for an explanation. In the evening, Mr. [Ali] Razini came and explained that the arrest was for advising the authorities and departments. I emphasized that they should be processed and released on bail. Such interactions were not correct and they could be summoned and interrogated.

I asked Haj Ahmad Agha for the Imam's opinion regarding the noises that have arisen around the leadership of Ayatollah Montazeri in the mass media of the world. They said that the Imam agrees with the explanation. Mr. Behzad Nabovi came and proposed a plan for the new government.

Dr. Velayati came and gave the report of his recent trip to Syria, Libya and Algeria. The medical system was also discussed. His idea was to appease.
