I woke up at half past five in the morning. After the prayer, I went about my work, which continued until one o'clock in the afternoon. Mr. Masih Mohajeri [social affairs advisor] came. Reported the trip to Kenya and Uganda. I criticized some harsh critical articles of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding sports and sending the team to Kuwait.

Mr. Mustafa Hashemi [Taba] in charge of the Olympics came. He returned from the peace and friendship competition in Kuwait. He is satisfied with the attitude of the Kuwaitis and requested for the Olympics and also for the implementation of important plans of the revolution. Mr. [Hamid] Mirzadeh came for the current affairs of the country.

Mr. Rahimzadeh came. He raised a lot of questions about the state of government board meetings and a lot of orders and little time. [Mr. Anton Greer] the new ambassador of Switzerland came to present the letter. Ceremonies were performed and short talks were held.

Mr. [Hossein] Sadeghi and [Mohammed Ali] Hadi, our ambassadors in Kuwait and the UAE, came and reported on the measures and plans to pave the way for cooperation and attracting UAE capital. There is doubt in the goodwill of the governments of the southern Persian Gulf. I said that while continuing positive efforts, they should also have a plan for it on the coin.

In the evening, the government board had a meeting. We completed the internal regulations of the government board; Until now, they have been working without regulations. Ayatollah Khamenei was my guest that night. We discussed foreign policy and domestic issues. It was not an important issue on the agenda.
