I reached my office at half past eight. At ten o'clock in the morning, the reconstruction officials and [Mrs. Sirajuddin Kazroni and Bijan Namdar Zanganeh], the Ministers of Housing and Urban Development and Power came.

We negotiated about water and sewerage and land needed for the development of war-torn cities. I pledged several billion tomans for the speed of action.

Mr. Mohsen Rezaei, [Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] came. He gave the report of the trip to the southern region and reconstruction plans. He said goodbye to travel to Makkah. Mr. Sadegh Kharazi, [Deputy Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations] came. He gave a report on his actions in New York and explained about justifying the Iranians there and attracting them and expert forces to Iran for investment and development plan for wireless telephone [= mobile].

Mr. [Attaullah] Mohajerani, [Legal and Parliamentary Deputy of the President] came. He made recommendations about tomorrow's speech in the parliament. The directors of Mubarake Steel and [Mr. Hossein Mahluji and Mohsen Nourbakhsh], the ministers of mines and metals and economic and property affairs came. There was a discussion and decision regarding the provision of Rial's needs for the start-up and maintenance stage. At noon Efat and Hassan [Lahouti, son of Faeza], were my guests.

In the evening, I attended the meeting of the government board. A decision was made about monetary policy and training of government employees and managers. I worked in my office until half past nine and came home.
