At 7:30, I went to the open session. The double-urgency measure allowing medical graduates to pursue specialization before completing military service was brought forward and approved. Of course, permission had already been granted in the Supreme Defense Council, so introducing the bill was unnecessary. The question by Mrs. Azam [Alaei] Taleghani to Mr. [Mohammad] Salamati, the Minister of Agriculture, regarding the appointment of unfit individuals in the Agricultural Bank was raised. The Fair Water Distribution Bill was discussed, but we made no progress.

In the afternoon, I attended the [Islamic Republican Party] position class. The leaders of the Coalition Societies (Heyat-ha-ye Mo'talefeh) came and had criticisms regarding the government's actions in customs, banking, etc. Mr. Rabbani Amlashi, the Prosecutor-General, came and complained about the leaders of the Revolutionary Courts who have spoken out against the Supreme Judicial Council these days, asking us for help. Mr. Mousavi-Ardebili had also conveyed the same points by phone in the morning. News of yesterday's military successes against the Iraqis in the Kushk area was announced. They had launched an attack and were defeated.
